at Spinners

One shared green, four game modes and a leaderboard that updates the second your ball drops.

The Game

This isn't a simulator.

Every putt is a real putt, rolled across a real green and into a real hole. The screen just decides what you're aiming for and does the maths.

Interactive Golf at Spinners gives the traditional putting game a fresh digital twist. Everyone plays from one shared green with real holes to putt into, while a huge LED screen behind the green runs the games, sets your targets and keeps score in real time.

You won't be hitting balls at a screen. The clever part is what happens after your putt: the system knows exactly which hole your ball drops into and instantly turns it into points on the big screen.

With four different game modes and live scoring, every round brings something new. There's no walking between holes, no waiting for the group ahead and no need to be an experienced golfer. Just grab a putter, line up your shot and see whether you can reach the top of the leaderboard.

Interactive Golf is one of seven games at Spinners. Pair it with food and drinks, bring the crowd with a group package, or make it a gift with a Spinners voucher.

Real clubs, real putts, real holes.

What it is

  • A real putter, a real ball and real holes cut into one shared green
  • Auto-scoring that knows exactly which hole your ball dropped into
  • Four digital game modes that change what you're aiming for
  • A live leaderboard on a full-size LED screen

What it isn't

  • Not a golf simulator — no drives, no fairways, no swinging at a screen
  • Not a walking course — everyone plays from the same spot
  • Not mini golf — no obstacles between separate holes
  • Not one game — the mode changes the target and the scoring
Six Steps

How it works.

Every player putts from the same green, and the screen tells you what to aim for on each turn.

  1. 1

Add each player's name to the screen.

  2. 2

Choose from the four available game modes.

  3. 3

Place your ball on the green.

  4. 4

Check the screen to see which holes you're aiming for.

  5. 5

Line up your shot and putt towards your target hole.

  6. 6

Sink the ball and watch your points land on the leaderboard.

Scoring changes with every game mode

What each hole is worth depends on the game mode you select. One round might send everyone chasing the same hole, while another rewards you for picking off specific targets or landing the highest-scoring holes on the green. Some challenges reward steady accuracy, while others give confident players the chance to chase a bigger score.

The green does the maths for you

Sensors detect exactly which hole each ball drops into and feed it straight to the screen, updating scores and triggering the game graphics in real time. No scorecards, no arguments — you can focus on your aim, plan your next move and prepare an excuse if your score isn't quite going to plan.

Want to improve your chances? Accuracy matters more than power. Keep your stance balanced, point the club face towards your target hole and use a smooth putting action. There's more in our guide to how to win at Interactive Golf.

Good to Know

Interactive Golf FAQs.

What is Interactive Golf?+

Interactive Golf is a digital-powered putting game played on one shared green with real holes built into it. Players use a real putter and ball to sink putts, while a large LED screen runs the game modes, shows your targets and tracks the scores.

The system automatically detects which hole each ball drops into, so points appear on the leaderboard the moment your putt lands.

Is Interactive Golf a golf simulator?+

No. There's no swinging at a screen and no simulated drives or fairways. Interactive Golf is all about the short game: you putt a real ball across a real green and into real holes.

The screen isn't a target, it's the game master. It sets your challenges, reacts to every putt and keeps the leaderboard ticking over while you play.

Is Interactive Golf the same as mini golf?+

Not quite. Traditional mini golf is played around a physical course, moving between separate holes and obstacles. Interactive Golf packs everything into one green with multiple holes, and the digital game modes change what you're aiming for from round to round.

Both involve real putting into real holes, but the way you play and score is different. You can also play Mini Golf at Spinners.

How many game modes are there?+

There are four Interactive Golf game modes to choose from. Each one changes which holes you're aiming for and how the points stack up. Try several during your session, or stick with a favourite and go for the rematch.

How long is an Interactive Golf session?+

A standard booking lasts 55 minutes, which gives your group time to get set up, try different game modes and build a proper leaderboard battle. Session lengths and availability can vary, so check the details shown when booking your chosen venue.

Do I need to know how to play golf?+

No golfing experience is needed. Interactive Golf is designed for social players, including complete beginners. The putting action is easy to pick up, and the range of game modes means everyone can get involved.

A regular golfer may arrive feeling confident, but that doesn't mean they'll leave with the highest score.

Does the game keep score automatically?+

Yes. The green's auto-scoring technology detects exactly which hole each ball drops into and updates the screen in real time. There's no need to carry a scorecard. Simply enter each player's name before you begin and follow the live leaderboard.

How do I get a better score?+

Check the screen so you know which hole to aim for, then line up the flat face of the putter with your target. Keep your grip relaxed and use a smooth, controlled putting action.

Hitting the ball harder doesn't always produce a better result. On a putting green, pace and accuracy beat power every time. It's also worth watching the players who go before you, as their putts help you judge the pace of the green.

What should I wear?+

You won't need golf gear, but we operate a smart casual dress code. Sportswear isn't permitted, including jogging bottoms, team shirts, tracksuits and sports shorts.

Within that, wear something comfortable that lets you move freely. Flat, stable footwear is the best choice when putting. Full details are in our booking terms.

Is Interactive Golf suitable for groups?+

Yes. It's made for group play and friendly rivalry, which makes it a great choice for birthday parties, date nights, work socials, family get-togethers and casual nights out. Everyone plays from the same green, and live scoring keeps the whole group involved from the first putt to the final result.

Is Interactive Golf played indoors?+

Yes, it's fully indoors. Tee off whatever the weather is doing outside.

Is Interactive Golf wheelchair accessible?+

Accessibility can differ between venues and playing areas. Please contact your chosen Spinners venue before booking and our team can confirm access arrangements and help you plan your visit.
