Clayshot is an indoor, virtual version of clay shooting. Players use realistic laser shotguns to shoot at clays flying across a large projector screen, while cameras track every shot and score it automatically.

It was created by expert clay shooters and designed so that anyone can pick it up in minutes, with no experience, licences or ear defenders required.

It's inspired by the real thing, without the need for a real shotgun, recoil or the rain! The skill transfers directly: you track a moving clay, lead your target by aiming slightly ahead of it and time your shot.

The shotguns are weighted to feel realistic, and the technique you learn at the peg is the same one used on a real clay ground, just with a bar a few steps away.

Clayshot uses laser shotguns and camera tracking. The cameras pick up exactly where each laser shot lands on the screen, score it instantly and update the leaderboard as you play.

It's clever tech, but there's nothing for you to operate. Just aim and shoot.

Each Clayshot peg takes up to 8 players. If your group is bigger, our booking system will automatically split you across multiple pegs.

A standard Clayshot booking lasts for 55 minutes. Some venues may occasionally offer promotional 30-minute slots.

Session lengths and availability can vary, so check the details shown when booking your chosen venue.

There are no age restrictions for Clayshot, but all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The shotguns are fairly heavy and designed to feel realistic, so younger players may need a helping hand to hold and aim them.

Do note that our venues operate as 18+ in the evenings. The time this starts differs by site, so please check with your chosen venue for the latest time children can be admitted.

No experience is needed. Clayshot is designed for social players, including complete first-timers.

Your host will demonstrate how to stand and shoot before you start, the system handles all the scoring and the easier modes are a great way to get your eye in.

Yes. The cameras track every shot and update the scores as you play. There's nothing to count and nothing to write down.

Simply enter each player's name before you begin and follow the scores on screen throughout the session.

Lead the target. Aim slightly ahead of the clay as it moves, so your shot arrives where the clay is going. Shooting straight at it usually means shooting behind it.

Keep the shotgun moving smoothly as you track the clay, and squeeze the trigger rather than snatching at it. Watching the players before you will help you judge the speed of the clays.

There's a fence in front of the projector screen, and the technology will pick up your shot from wherever you stand. Your host will demonstrate the best way to stand and shoot before you begin.

You won't need any shooting gear, but we operate a smart casual dress code. Sportswear isn't permitted, including jogging bottoms, team shirts, tracksuits and sports shorts.

Within that, wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely. You will be shouldering and swinging the shotgun, so nothing too restrictive. Full details are in our booking terms.

Yes. Clayshot is made for group play and friendly rivalry. It's a great choice for birthday parties, date nights, work socials, family get-togethers and casual nights out with friends.

Turns come around quickly, the scores are on screen for everyone to see and there's nothing quite like the celebration you get when someone finally breaks their first clay.

Yes. Clayshot at Spinners is fully indoors. Unlike a real clay ground, you can shoot whatever the weather is doing outside and enjoy food or drinks between rounds.
